Vitaly Dolgov I like pure analog sound. Author very skillfully uses noise and feedback to emulate northern atmosphere. A lot of sounds remind me of Minimoog. Favorite track: Hálka Mirage.

Berkdrums Another jewel on the Faint-label... the atmosphere, the moods in these tracks are amazingly beautiful..! Thankfully I found this beauty not too long after its release and grabbed a stunning cd-package with it..! To me this is a perfect melange of ambience, drones, electronics and soundeffects... strongly recommended!

Ews Nsj when i think North, i think fresh air n’ cool temps — just like this offering from Mykja (beautiful name). when i think of North(ern) paths,.. paired w Alexanders lovely photo, i recall hiking trails along the vastness of the fjords b/t Norway n’ Sweden and all the spiritual sensation of peering down into and across them. going further, i think of staring off across the long distant and beautifully gouged ancient landscapes of Iceland where only animals roam. these tracks do much to transport a mind into daydreamscapes which feature such awe-inspiring natural sensations. impressed by the care taken with the various unexpected welcome rhythmic turns of several selections here... and the crafty blending of some of the otherwise tenser elements, so as to stimulate but not derail the cozy flow one definitely feels on the NP journey. there are more than a couple pleasant surprises for the inner wanderer on this journey. it all makes for a wonderful debut Favorite track: Avidya.
